Get ready to rock and roll as the much-anticipated Scorpions biopic ‘Wind of Change’ assembles a stellar cast to bring the story of the legendary German rock band to life. The film promises to be a captivating ride through the band’s meteoric rise to fame and their powerful quest for global unity, all set against the backdrop of their iconic ballad ‘Wind of Change.’

Leading the charge is Alexander Dreymon, known for his role in ‘The Last Kingdom,’ who will take on the persona of guitarist Rudolf Schenker. Joining him is Ludwig Trepte, celebrated for his performance in ‘Generation War,’ stepping into the shoes of lead singer Klaus Meine. Ed Speleers, with credits in ‘You’ and ‘Outlander,’ will portray guitarist Matthias Jabs, while Luke Brandon Field, familiar from ‘Interview With the Vampire’ and ‘Jojo Rabbit,’ takes on the role of drummer Herman Rarebell.

Adding to the excitement, Dominic West, famed for ‘The Crown’ and ‘The Wire,’ will play the band’s manager, Doc McGhee. David Kross, known for ‘The Reader,’ will portray Andrej, the band’s friend who found himself on the other side of the Berlin Wall.

Set for a 2025 U.S. theatrical release, ‘Wind of Change’ is helmed by director Alex Ranarivelo and produced by ESX Entertainment in collaboration with Fox Entertainment Studios and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. Filming is already underway in London, with expectations soaring high for this cinematic tribute to the Scorpions’ legacy.

Ali Afshar, founder and president of ESX Entertainment, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Developing this film has been an unbelievable journey, and bringing it to life feels surreal. The Scorpions’ music helped me navigate tremendous challenges as an Iranian immigrant in America during the early ’80s. Their message of love, peace, and rock ‘n’ roll is more relevant today than ever. This cast is an amazing ensemble of truly great talent. I can’t thank Fox Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment enough for their support and especially the band — Rudolf, Klaus, and Matthias — for believing in us and trusting us to tell their life story.”

As anticipation builds, fans and rock enthusiasts alike are eagerly awaiting the film’s release, ready to relive the magic of the Scorpions’ journey and their defining anthem that resonated with the world at a pivotal moment in history.
