The End Is Nigh—But You Can Watch It Live: Black Sabbath’s Final Show to Stream Globally

The princes of darkness are taking their final bow—and fans around the globe are invited to witness it live. Black Sabbath, the pioneering heavy metal band that launched a thousand riffs, will perform their ultimate show on July 5 in their hometown of Birmingham, England, under the banner Back to the Beginning. But even if you can’t score a plane ticket, you can still be part of the magic—the event will be live streamed worldwide for $29.99 at BacktotheBeginning.com.

What makes this farewell truly monumental? It’s the first time Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward will share the stage since 2005. While Osbourne, Iommi, and Butler reunited for tours post-2010, Ward’s absence has left fans longing for one last classic Sabbath moment. Now, that dream becomes reality.

This isn’t just any show—it’s a genre-spanning celebration. A battalion of rock and metal legends will be on hand to pay tribute, including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon, and Sammy Hagar. Each act will perform both original material and covers of Sabbath and solo Ozzy tracks, breathing fresh fire into the legacy.

Sammy Hagar, for instance, teased that he’ll take on “Flying High Again”, one of Ozzy’s most iconic solo tracks. Expect an emotional, nostalgic, and thunderous affair.

Due to ongoing health issues—including his 2020 Parkinson’s diagnosis—Ozzy has confirmed he’ll appear in a limited capacity, saying on his Ozzy Speaks SiriusXM show:

“I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath, but I am doing little bits and pieces with them… I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.”

Whether this is truly the end remains to be seen—rock farewells are often more “see you later” than “goodbye.” But Back to the Beginning promises to be a landmark moment in metal history, with one final storm of sound and legacy echoing across the world.

Don’t miss it. Saturday, July 5, 3PM BST / 10AM EST.
