Bob Dylan Launches 2025 Tour in Tulsa with a New Beat and Timeless Setlist

The legend lives on—Bob Dylan officially kicked off his 2025 tour on Tuesday night (March 25) in Tulsa, Oklahoma, delivering a 17-song set that mixed classics with newer gems and introduced a fresh face behind the drums.

Held at the historic Tulsa Theater, just a stone’s throw from the Bob Dylan Center, the show was a phone-free zone, keeping fans fully immersed in the music. Still, details emerged quickly, including the full setlist and a major lineup change.

Dylan swapped longtime drummer Jim Keltner for Anton Fig—no stranger to the icon’s orbit. Fig contributed to Dylan’s 1980s albums Empire Burlesque and Knocked Out Loaded, and has built a powerhouse resume with names like Paul Simon, Mick Jagger, and Peter Frampton. His addition added a new heartbeat to the timeless tunes.

The setlist stayed close to recent tour legs, but featured plenty of crowd-pleasers: “All Along the Watchtower,” “It Ain’t Me, Babe,” “Desolation Row,” and “Every Grain of Sand” all made appearances, balanced by modern Dylan cuts like “False Prophet” and “I Contain Multitudes.” It’s the kind of set that shows Dylan hasn’t slowed—he’s just gotten sharper, more reflective, and deeply poetic with age.

From Tulsa, the tour winds its way through the Midwest, with stops in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Ohio, before wrapping up April 22 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

But Dylan isn’t done. Less than a month later, he’ll hit the road again as part of Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour. Starting May 13 in Phoenix, Dylan will appear at every show on the trek, joining Nelson, Billy Strings, Sierra Hull, Sheryl Crow, Waxahatchee, and others on rotating dates through September 19.

Bob Dylan may have declared “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue,” but clearly, he’s just getting warmed up. The times, they are still a-changin’—and Dylan’s leading the charge.
