Foo Fighters Are Back: 2025 Comeback Show Set for Singapore Grand Prix
The Foo Fighters are officially back. Rock’s most enduring modern band has announced their first confirmed concert for 2025, and it’s set to take place on a global stage—literally. Dave Grohl and crew will headline the Singapore Grand Prix on Saturday, October 4, making their triumphant return after more than a year out of the public spotlight.
If this show ends up being their first full performance of the year, it will be their first proper concert in nearly 14 months. The last official Foo Fighters gig went down on August 18, 2024, at Seattle’s T-Mobile Park. Since then, the band’s only rumored activity has been a private gig at Anaheim’s House of Blues in September—shortly before Grohl dropped a bombshell revelation that he had fathered a child out of wedlock.
Since that brief resurgence, Grohl has kept a surprisingly low profile, only popping up for a few select, high-profile collaborations. In January, he reunited with Nirvana’s surviving members at FireAid, a wildfire benefit concert in L.A., featuring surprise guest vocals by St. Vincent, Joan Jett, Kim Gordon, and his daughter Violet Grohl.
Then came another Nirvana revival—this time with Post Malone at the mic during Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary special. And in April, Grohl made headlines again by performing Foo Fighters songs alongside the L.A. Philharmonic, blending his rock roots with orchestral grandeur.
Their most recent album, But Here We Are (2023), was an emotional gut-punch—Grohl confronting the deaths of both his mother and beloved drummer Taylor Hawkins. It became one of the band’s most critically praised records, and fans have been wondering if a tour would follow.
Now, that question’s finally been answered—at least partially.
Joining the Foos in Singapore will be rock legends Elton John, Crowded House, and Smashing Pumpkins, turning the Grand Prix weekend into a sonic spectacle. Whether this show is a one-off or the first in a global tour remains to be seen, but one thing’s clear: the Foo Fighters are ready to make noise again.
