Pantera and Amon Amarth Announce “The Heaviest Tour of the Summer” for 2025

Feb 24, 2025 | Interesting News

If you thought this summer was going to be quiet, think again—Pantera is gearing up to deliver The Heaviest Tour of the Summer in 2025, bringing along Swedish melodic death metal giants Amon Amarth for an absolutely crushing U.S. trek.

The tour kicks off July 15 in Burgettstown, PA, and will tear through major cities like Detroit, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Dallas before wrapping up September 13 in West Palm Beach, FL. Tickets go on sale this Friday, and if Pantera’s past tours are any indication, these will go fast.

Pantera’s Return to Dominance

Pantera’s current lineup—featuring Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown, alongside Zakk Wylde (filling the massive shoes of Dimebag Darrell) and Charlie Benante (honoring Vinnie Paul’s legendary drumming)—has been going strong since late 2022. After headlining festivals and supporting Metallica’s stadium tour, Pantera has cemented their reunion as one of the biggest metal events of the decade.

Notably, before hitting the road on their own, Pantera will perform at Black Sabbath’s “Back to the Beginning” reunion show on July 5 in Birmingham, England, sharing the stage with Metallica, Slayer, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, and many more.

Amon Amarth Brings Viking Fury

Joining Pantera on this trek is Amon Amarth, the Swedish heavyweights known for their thunderous blend of death metal and Norse mythology-inspired anthems. With epic tracks like Twilight of the Thunder God and Guardians of Asgaard, expect nothing less than a full-scale sonic raid at every stop.
