Looks like rock ‘n’ roll genes run strong in the KISS family! Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons—the sons of legendary KISS co-founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons—have been cooking up something big. What started as a simple jam session has exploded into ten full-fledged songs, as revealed in their recent Instagram post, where they casually dropped the bombshell: “One song turned into 10 real quick.”

Fans quickly got a taste of what these rock heirs have been up to when the duo shared a video performing an original song alongside guitarist Jacob Bunton. The clip sent shockwaves through the rock community, with Paul Stanley himself chiming in to call it “magic!!!” Meanwhile, Nick’s sister Sophie didn’t hold back her excitement either, demanding: “We want the album.”

This isn’t the first time the duo has flexed their musical muscles. Last December, Evan and Nick shared a haunting cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence,” earning Gene Simmons’ seal of approval as “amazing.” Evan’s band, Amber Wild, even opened for KISS during the band’s End of the Road farewell tour, while Nick lent his vocals to former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick’s track “Hand of the King” back in 2010.

But if you think these two are about to slap on the iconic KISS face paint and start belting “Detroit Rock City” in their dads’ footsteps, think again. Evan’s stance on the matter is clear: “People keep asking that constantly… and it’s, like, dude, you can look at a thousand interviews where my dad says it, Gene says it, I say it, Nick says it. It’s, like, no.”

He added, “That’s my dad’s thing. I’m busy with my thing. I appreciate it. I’m grateful for it. I love it. I’m a fan of the music. I’m a fan of the show. I’ve gotten to have a really unique and very wonderful life as a direct result of it. Do I wanna put the makeup on and be ‘Baby Paul’? F** no. I’ve got my own thing going.”*

That “thing” now consists of ten fresh tracks, and with their famous fathers watching proudly, the pressure is on. Will they live up to the KISS legacy while forging their own path? One thing’s for sure—rock fans are listening.
