SHINEDOWN Announces Summer Album Release & Ambitious Tour Plans

If you thought SHINEDOWN was ready to take a breather, think again. Brent Smith and company are charging full-speed ahead with their eighth studio album, set to drop in late July or early August. The announcement follows the explosive success of their latest singles, Dance, Kid, Dance and Three Six Five, both of which are already climbing the charts at lightning speed.

A RECORD-BREAKING ERA

The band’s signature brand of hard-hitting rock is clearly resonating with fans worldwide. Dance, Kid, Dance just snagged the No. 1 spot at Active Rock radio, marking SHINEDOWN’s 20th No. 1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Meanwhile, Three Six Five is quickly ascending Alternative and Hot AC radio, proving the band’s cross-genre appeal.

Brent Smith credits much of this momentum to bassist Eric Bass, who has taken the reins as the band’s engineer, producer, and mixer. “We’re very lucky to have someone like Eric,” Smith shared. “It allows us to create and fine-tune the music in-house, while still keeping up with our crazy tour schedule.”

TOURING LIKE NEVER BEFORE

Speaking of crazy schedules, SHINEDOWN is set to launch their biggest tour yet. Kicking off April 25, the “Dance, Kid, Dance” Tour will see the band headlining iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and The Kia Forum for the first time in their career. They’ll be joined by Beartooth and Bush (on select dates), with rising star Morgan Wade supporting all shows.

And that’s not all—SHINEDOWN has even bigger plans for 2026. Smith revealed the band’s ambitious goal to perform on all seven continents, a feat only a handful of artists have ever accomplished. If anyone can pull it off, it’s this chart-dominating powerhouse.

THE NEW ALBUM: WHAT TO EXPECT

While details on the full tracklist remain under wraps, fans can expect an album that blends anthemic rock, deep lyricism, and the band’s signature high-energy sound.

  • Dance, Kid, Dance is a fist-pumping, adrenaline-fueled rocker that encourages fans to let loose and live in the moment.
  • Three Six Five takes a more introspective approach, reminding listeners to cherish every day and live fearlessly in honor of those they’ve lost.

With Smith and Bass co-writing most of the album, alongside longtime collaborator Dave Bassett, the record promises to be one of SHINEDOWN’s most personal and powerful releases yet.

RECOGNITION & ACCOLADES

As if all of this weren’t enough, SHINEDOWN recently racked up multiple iHeartRadio Music Award nominations, including “Rock Artist of the Year” and “Rock Song of the Year” for A Symptom of Being Human. Their reach extends far beyond rock radio, with over 100 million streams of A Symptom of Being Human alone.

THE FUTURE OF SHINEDOWN

With a record-breaking new album on the horizon, an unstoppable tour, and a seven-continent mission in sight, SHINEDOWN is proving yet again why they remain one of rock’s most unstoppable forces.

Get ready, because the next chapter of SHINEDOWN is about to blow the roof off 2025.
