Trump Escalates Feud With Springsteen, Demands Investigation Into Harris Campaign Entertainment

The feud between former President Donald Trump and Bruce Springsteen just went nuclear.

Taking to Truth Social on Monday, Trump unleashed a fiery post demanding a formal investigation into Springsteen, Bono, Beyoncé, and Oprah Winfrey, alleging they were illegally paid by Kamala Harris’s 2024 campaign to endorse her under the guise of entertainment.

“HOW MUCH DID KAMALA HARRIS PAY BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN FOR HIS POOR PERFORMANCE DURING HER CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT?” Trump fumed in all caps, accusing Harris of orchestrating an “unlawful campaign contribution.” He extended the accusations to Beyoncé and Bono, adding, “This was a desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL!”

So far, the Harris campaign has not issued a new response. However, Oprah Winfrey previously clarified to Variety that the $1 million allocated for the September “Unite for America” rally went strictly to Harpo Productions’ production fees, not personal payments. Similarly, Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, dismissed online rumors of a $10 million speaking fee for her daughter as “false information.”

How Did This Start?

The dustup began on May 8, when Springsteen used the kickoff of his European tour in Manchester, England, to slam Trump’s administration as “corrupt, incompetent and treasonous,” and called for a global stand against authoritarianism.

Trump quickly fired back, branding Springsteen a “dried-up prune of a rocker” and accusing him of being a “pushy, obnoxious jerk.” He warned the singer to “KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country.”

The drama didn’t stop there.

At a Pearl Jam show in Pittsburgh over the weekend, frontman Eddie Vedder jumped into the fray. Praising Springsteen as a “hero,” Vedder criticized Trump’s threats against outspoken performers and declared: “That is not allowed in this country that we call America.”

With a farewell tour in play, heated campaign rhetoric building, and rock icons rallying onstage, this saga between music and politics is showing no signs of slowing down.
